Slot E-Wallet Guide: What the Sites List and What Wallet Terms Say
If Touch 'n Go eWallet or GrabPay is already on your phone, paying a slot site the same way can look like the easy option. Before you do, it helps to know two things: whether the site names your wallet at all, and what the wallet's own terms say. This guide covers both, plus how DuitNow transfers work, the official wallet limits, what operators say about payouts and the risks of sending money this way.
Key Takeaways
- Of our ten ranked sites, only TAB66 and 96M name Touch 'n Go and DuitNow, and only TAB66 names GrabPay and Boost. None names ShopeePay, and seven mention e-wallets in the details we hold without naming a brand.
- The published terms of Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay and MAE all bar using the wallet for gambling. TNG and Boost say there is no refund if an account is closed for illegal transactions, and Grab may forfeit GrabPay credits.
- DuitNow is a transfer and QR payment network run by PayNet, not an e-wallet. TNG's DuitNow terms say a confirmed DuitNow transaction cannot be cancelled or changed.
- Wallet limits mostly rise with identity checks. An unverified Touch 'n Go Lite account cannot transfer money out, while a verified account holds up to RM20,000, with RM9,999 per transaction.
- Every slot site payout time on this page is the operator's own claim, and none was tested. WE88 and Uwin33 both refuse third-party deposits, and Uwin33 makes you withdraw by the same method as your latest deposit.
Which Slot Sites Name Which E-Wallets
The table covers our ten ranked sites plus WE88 and Uwin33, which we review without a rank, using the payment details we hold and the operators' own pages. Our slot site reviews cover each site in full.

TAB66 and 96M Name Their Wallets
TAB66 is the only ranked site that names GrabPay and Boost, but the details we hold give no deposit or withdrawal time for any one TAB66 method. 96M names Touch 'n Go and DuitNow, and its FPX listing covers six banks: Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB, Hong Leong and AmBank.
Seven Sites Mention E-Wallets but Name None
EU9, Hfive5, KAYA88, KNN77, KAYA69, Winbox and BK8 mention e-wallets in the details we hold, but none names a brand. Only for EU9 and Hfive5 could we match that wording to a saved copy of the source page, so treat it as unconfirmed for the other five. 1xBet names no e-wallet, DuitNow or FPX, and is listed only with a wide range of methods and strong crypto support.
WE88 and Uwin33
WE88 lists QR Pay, naming TNG QR and DuitNow QR, with no minimum or check time given. Uwin33 shows Touch 'n Go eWallet and DuitNow as footer logos, and its homepage text mentions both. Its How to Deposit page, however, names only the EeziePay gateway, online transfer, ATM transfer and cash deposit.
How E-Wallet Deposits Work at Slot Sites
Each operator decides which methods go in its cashier and what to call them, so the same wallet can sit under different headings from one site to the next. What follows comes from the payment details we hold and the operators' own pages, not from a deposit we made.
Wallet, QR Code or Payment Gateway
The listing we hold for TAB66 puts Touch 'n Go under e-wallets and DuitNow under instant transfer, while WE88's deposit page lists both under QR Pay. WE88 also takes online banking and ATM deposits from RM30 and the Truepay and EeziePay gateways from RM50, so one site can offer several routes with different minimums.
WE88 and Uwin33 Want Your Own Account
WE88 does not accept deposits from third-party accounts, and Uwin33 does not accept third-party accounts, so at both sites the account you pay from has to be in your own name. On the way out, WE88 says withdrawals go to a local bank account in your own name, and Uwin33 says a withdrawal must use the same method as your latest deposit.
DuitNow Explained: A Transfer Service, Not a Wallet
DuitNow is a transfer and QR payment network run by PayNet (Payments Network Malaysia), not a wallet you keep money in. PayNet's DuitNow FAQ says it works on the internet and mobile banking of 42 banks and on participating eWallets.
How a DuitNow ID Works
A DuitNow transfer goes to a DuitNow ID: a mobile number, an NRIC number, a passport number, or the business registration number of an SSM-registered business. Sending needs no registration. To receive, you link your ID to a bank account or e-wallet in a one-time step, and each ID can be linked to only one account.
Speed, Fees and Limits
PayNet says transfers happen immediately and recipients usually get the money instantly. Sending and receiving is free up to RM5,000, and above that a 50 sen fee may apply, though some banks waive it. PayNet puts the limit at up to RM50,000 per transaction for transfers at banks and for DuitNow QR payments, but says limits vary by bank or e-money provider, and e-money providers have lower QR limits. Bank Negara Malaysia said in a September 2023 statement that individuals paying by DuitNow QR pay no additional charges.
Touch 'n Go eWallet and DuitNow
TNG says a Touch 'n Go eWallet DuitNow account number can receive instant transfers from all banks in Malaysia. DuitNow Transfer between the eWallet and a bank account is free, needs no registration and works for amounts as low as RM1.
Wallet Limits and Verification
Bank Negara Malaysia lists the companies behind the first four wallets below as e-money issuers, and MAE is an e-wallet offered by Maybank. Limits mostly rise as you verify your identity. TNG's disclosure sheet says its eWallet is not a deposit account, and Maybank's disclosure sheet says MAE is not protected by PIDM.
| Wallet | Provider | Lower tier | Higher tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Touch 'n Go eWallet | TNG Digital Sdn Bhd | Lite: RM200 wallet, no money transfer | Verified: RM20,000 wallet, RM9,999 per transaction, RM120,000 a month, RM600,000 a year |
| GrabPay | GPay Network (M) Sdn Bhd | Basic: RM500, purchases and Grab rides only | Premium: RM10,000, can transfer credits to other users |
| Boost | Axiata Digital E-code Sdn Bhd | Basic: RM1,000 wallet, RM2,000 a month, no transfers between Boost accounts | Premium: RM4,999 wallet. Premium 10K: RM10,000 wallet, RM9,999 a month, RM119,988 a year |
| ShopeePay | ShopeePay Malaysia Sdn Bhd | Unverified: up to RM2,999 wallet, RM4,999 a month | Verified: up to RM30,000 wallet, RM180,000 a month, RM9,999 per transaction |
| MAE | Maybank (managed by Maybank Islamic) | Without MAE card: RM4,999.99 balance, RM5,000 a month | With MAE Visa Debit Card: RM10,000 balance, RM120,000 a year |
How Each Wallet Checks Your Identity
Each provider asks for different proof of who you are:
- Touch 'n Go eWallet: TNG says every new user must complete eKYC identity verification before paying or transferring.
- GrabPay: Grab asks for your full name, email, phone number and MyKad or passport number, and you upgrade by photographing your MyKad or passport.
- Boost: under its general terms, Premium wallets go through KYC and ask for your ID, address, occupation, income, the purpose of your transactions and your source of funds, with one Premium wallet per ID.
- ShopeePay: every account registered on or after 10 February 2025 must complete e-KYC.
- MAE: e-KYC when you open it in the Maybank app, with one MAE per customer.
Limits You Can Set Yourself
TNG lets you set your own daily and per-transaction limits in the app, and its limits page says any increase takes effect only after a 12-hour cooling period. ShopeePay lets you set a daily limit from RM250, with a 3-hour cooling-off period before an increase applies.
Where the Official Figures Disagree
Three providers publish two different numbers for the same thing:
- Touch 'n Go Lite monthly limit: RM200 in the disclosure sheet, RM2,000 in the user terms.
- ShopeePay verified balance: RM30,000 in the disclosure sheet and terms, RM9,999 on its product page.
- Boost credit card cash-in fee: 1% above a monthly waiver quota in the disclosure sheet, 0.75% in the general terms.
Top-Up Fees
Providers list these fees for adding money to a wallet:
- Touch 'n Go eWallet: 1% by Malaysian credit card, up to 2.6% by a non-Malaysian card, and nothing by Malaysian debit card.
- GrabPay: nothing by online banking or debit card, 1% by credit card, and a 3% foreign service fee, according to its disclosure sheet.
- ShopeePay: no current fee for online banking top-ups or DuitNow withdrawals in the app, though it may charge in future.
What the Wallets' Own Terms Say About Gambling
All five wallets in this guide bar gambling in their published terms, and a slot site naming a wallet changes none of this. TNG's clause 2.2(a) is typical: it bars use for any unlawful purposes and names "vice, gambling or other criminal purposes". Boost's clause 4.2(d) uses the same words.
| Wallet | Where it says so | What it bars | What the provider can do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Touch 'n Go eWallet | User terms (5 June 2026) 2.2(a), 4.2, 13.4 | Unlawful purposes, naming gambling | Suspend or terminate the account; no refund if closed for illegal transactions; may keep the money or release it to the authorities |
| GrabPay | Terms of use section 8 | Gambling, gaming or any activity with an entry fee and a prize, including casino games, sports betting and lottery tickets | Suspend transactions or accounts it believes may be illegal, and forfeit GrabPay credits |
| Boost | General terms 4.2(d), 13.1, 14.5 | Unlawful purposes, naming gambling | Report suspected illegal activity to the authorities; no refund of the balance if terminated for illegal transactions |
| ShopeePay | Terms of service 13.2(e), 13.3 | Illegal activities including online gambling, whether or not it is permitted where you are | Terminate, suspend or restrict the account |
| MAE | Terms and conditions 4.1(f) | Business purposes or unlawful activities, naming betting and gambling | Block or suspend MAE |
GrabPay's clause opens with an exception for what the company permits, subject always to applicable laws and regulations. Only the written terms were checked for this guide, so we cannot say how often providers act on these clauses. Our guide to Malaysian gambling law covers what the law itself says.
Withdrawals: Back to a Wallet or a Bank
Below is what 96M, WE88 and Uwin33 say about withdrawals. Every figure is the operator's own claim, and none was tested.
96M Gives a Time for Each Method
96M's own site gives payout times by method: Touch 'n Go instant to 15 minutes, DuitNow 15 to 30 minutes, and bank and crypto 30 to 60 minutes. The figures were captured from 96M's site on 24 September 2026, and 96M publishes no withdrawal limits and no list of the identity documents it asks for.
WE88's Pages Tell Two Stories
WE88's withdrawal page says payouts go to a local bank account in your own name, with checks taking 15 to 30 minutes. Its homepage FAQ says QR pay, DuitNow, TnG and crypto payouts take from almost instant to a few minutes, and bank transfers about 1 to 3 days, so ask WE88 which applies before you deposit.
Uwin33 and the Same-Method Rule
Uwin33's How to Withdraw page names only local bank transfer, plus a short note on crypto. A withdrawal must use the same method as your latest deposit, so a Touch 'n Go logo in the footer says little about how a payout would reach you.
Risks of Paying a Slot Site by E-Wallet
Suspended or Closed Wallet Accounts
The terms above let the wallet providers suspend, restrict, block or close an account, each in its own words. TNG and Boost say there is no refund for an account closed over illegal transactions, TNG may keep the money or release it to the authorities, and Grab may forfeit GrabPay credits. Our guide to Malaysian gambling law covers what the law itself says.
Transfers You Cannot Take Back
Clause 2.6 of TNG's DuitNow terms says a confirmed DuitNow transaction is irrevocable and cannot be cancelled or changed. If you send money from Touch 'n Go eWallet to the wrong DuitNow ID, or to a site that later stops paying, those terms give you no way to cancel it.
Requests to Pay a Personal Account
A DuitNow ID can be a mobile or NRIC number, so a transfer to one goes to whoever linked that ID to their account. Be wary of anyone in a chat who asks you to deposit that way:
- Never send a deposit to a mobile or NRIC number because someone asked you to.
- Never let anyone else pay in for you, since WE88 and Uwin33 both refuse third-party deposits.
- Never send copies of your MyKad to someone who contacted you first.
Keeping Your Slot Spending in Check
Small payments from a phone are easy to repeat, and they add up. These habits help:
- Set a monthly slot budget before you deposit, and stop when it is gone instead of topping up again.
- Write down every deposit, including the small ones, and add them up each week.
- Never chase a loss with a fresh transfer, and never fund play with borrowed money.
If you are spending more than you planned, or keeping transfers from your family, take a break and read our responsible gaming page, which lists Malaysian help lines. For how slot games work, see our how to play slots guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I deposit at a slot site with Touch 'n Go eWallet?
Of our ten ranked sites, only TAB66 and 96M name Touch 'n Go, and WE88 lists TNG QR. A name on a payment list is not a test result, so the cashier may differ. TNG's own user terms bar using the eWallet for unlawful purposes and name gambling, and under clause 13.4 an account closed for illegal transactions gets no refund. Our guide to Malaysian gambling law covers the law itself.
Is DuitNow an e-wallet?
No. DuitNow is a transfer and QR payment network run by PayNet. It sends money to a DuitNow ID, such as a mobile number or NRIC number, and PayNet says it works on the internet and mobile banking of 42 banks and on participating eWallets. Sending and receiving is free up to RM5,000, and above that a 50 sen fee may apply, though some banks waive it.
Which slot sites name GrabPay or Boost?
Among the sites we review, only TAB66 names GrabPay and Boost, and that listing has not been tested. Seven other ranked sites mention e-wallets without naming a brand. GrabPay's Acceptable Use Policy bars transactions involving gambling, including casino games, and clause 4.2(d) of Boost's general terms bars use for unlawful purposes and names gambling. Grab may forfeit credits, and Boost gives no refund on an account terminated for illegal transactions.
Do any slot sites we review take ShopeePay?
None of our ten ranked sites names ShopeePay, and neither WE88 nor Uwin33 lists it in the payment details we hold. ShopeePay's terms of service, in clause 13.2(e), bar using its services for illegal activities including online gambling, whether or not online gambling is permitted where you are. Under clause 13.3, ShopeePay may terminate, suspend or restrict an account.
How fast are e-wallet withdrawals from slot sites?
Only the operators' own claims are available, and none was tested. 96M states Touch 'n Go payouts at instant to 15 minutes and DuitNow at 15 to 30 minutes. WE88's homepage FAQ says QR pay, DuitNow and TnG payouts take from almost instant to a few minutes, but its withdrawal page says payouts go to a local bank account in your own name. Uwin33's withdrawal page names only local bank transfer and a crypto note.
Can I cancel a DuitNow transfer I sent by mistake?
For Touch 'n Go eWallet, clause 2.6 of TNG's DuitNow terms says a confirmed DuitNow transaction is irrevocable and cannot be cancelled or changed. Each DuitNow ID is linked to one account, so the money goes to whoever linked that ID. Check the ID and the amount before you confirm, and never send money to a mobile or NRIC number because someone in a chat asked you to. Other banks' and wallets' terms were not checked for this guide.
How much can a Touch 'n Go eWallet hold?
A verified account on a Malaysian or Singapore number holds up to RM20,000, with limits of RM9,999 per transaction, RM120,000 a day and a month, and RM600,000 a year. UNHCR card holders and international numbers other than Singapore get RM5,000. An unverified Lite account holds RM200 and cannot transfer money out. You can set your own daily and per-transaction limits in the app, and any increase takes effect after a 12-hour cooling period.
