Why the Studio / App Distinction Matters
Most Malaysian slot content treats Mega888 and Pragmatic Play as the same kind of thing. They are not, and the difference is practical rather than academic.
A certified game studio builds a title, sets its return-to-player percentage, submits the game to an independent test lab such as BMM Testlabs, iTech Labs or eCOGRA, and publishes the RTP. You can look the figure up before you play and check it against the game's own info panel. If a casino runs an alternative configuration, the panel will say so.
An aggregator app is a distribution wrapper. It bundles titles from multiple sources behind one login and one download. There is no single RTP because there is no single game — and no published table to check any individual title against. That does not make the app illegitimate, but it does mean any page quoting you "the Mega888 RTP" is giving you a number nobody published.

A Note on App Downloads
Because the aggregator apps are installed outside Google Play and the App Store, the search results for them are crowded with mirror sites, APK portals and outright impersonation. When we analysed the Malaysian search results for these brands we found several different domains each presenting themselves as the official source for the same app, and in more than one case a compromised third-party server ranking for the term.
The safe route is simple and it costs you nothing: open the app from inside a casino account you already hold, rather than from a search result, an advert or a forwarded link. Every casino in our top ten that carries these apps provides them that way.
